Background professional experience includes 2 years of service in the Peace Corps, organizing and implementing grass roots development in Panama. • Part of the page layout team for a publisher that provides newspapers for 64 Chicago area suburbs.
• Work involves the use of PC and Mac computers.
• Software regularly used includes Quark, NewsEdit Pro, and Layout 8000.
Peace Corps Volunteer, Republic of Panama Sept. 2003-Nov. 2005
• Lead or collaborated on 3 composting latrine seminars in or near work site.
• Facilitated communication between government agencies and community members, requiring Spanish language fluency and much patience.
• Innovated 2 types of alternative composting latrines.
Photographer for The Daily Iowan, Iowa City, IA 2002-2003
